 is an upcoming American science fiction horror television series created by Noah Hawley, based on the Alien franchise. It serves as a prequel and is set two years before the events of the 1979 film Alien.It stars Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis and Adarsh Gourav.When a space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's biggest threat.In February 2019, Bloody Disgusting reported that two Alien television series were in development, one animated – Alien: Isolation – and one live-action, from Ridley Scott for the network FX on Hulu.In December 2020, as part of Disney's Investor Day presentation, the latter television series project was officially announced to be in development for the network, with Noah Hawley as showrunner and Scott as executive producer, being set on Earth in the near future.On February 17, 2022, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the series is a prequel taking place before the events of Alien [1979].Hawley himself confirmed that the series will be tied more into the style and mythology of the original 1979 film rather than the prequel films Prometheus [2012], and Alien: Covenant[2017].In April 2023, chairman of FX Productions John Landgraf stated that the series was in "active pre-production".In May 2023, Sydney Chandler was cast in the lead role,followed by Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav in July.Timothy Olyphant and David Rysdahl would be among those added to the cast in November 2023.Principal photography was scheduled to begin in March 2022, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production on the series began on July 19, 2023, in Thailand.Filming [without the American cast including Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, and David Rysdahl] was allowed to occur during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike due to the series' British cast working under an Equity contract. In late August, the production was halted due to the strike with most of the first episode completed. Filming resumed in April 2024, and wrapped in mid-July. Dana Gonzales, Bella Gonzales and Colin Watkinson serve as cinematographers.The series is scheduled to premiere on FX and FX on Hulu with the first two episodes on August 12, 2025. Maalik (2025 film)

 # MAALIK #is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language gangster action thriller film directed by Pulkit and produced by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani.The film starring Rajkummar Rao in the titular role, alongside Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar and Medha Shankr.On 4 July 2024, reports indicated that filming would commence in September 2024, with locations set in Lucknow and Varanasi.To prepare for the physically demanding role, Rajkummar Rao reportedly started working on building a more muscular physique.The muhurat shot took place on 25 August 2024 in Pathakpur village.The film’s music is composed by Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.Vikram Dahiya was roped in to design the action sequences.Rajkummar Rao officially announced the film with sharing a poster on 31 August 2024, on his 40th Birthday.Rajkummar Rao stars in the title role, marking his second collaboration with director Pulkit after their 2017 historical drama Bose: Dead/Alive.Medha Shankr plays the female lead, while reports suggest Manushi Chhillar also has a lead role opposite Rao.Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee portrays Rao's mentor.The supporting cast includes Anshumaan Pushkar, Swanand Kirkire.Additionally, Huma Qureshi is said to make a special cameo appearance in a dance number.Principal photography for Maalik began in late August 2024.The film had a continuous three-month shooting schedule, covering Lucknow, Varanasi, and Unnao.The first schedule begun in late August on the outskirts of Lucknow, along the Lucknow-Kanpur highway, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar.The film also shot at Lucknow University's Subhash Hostel on 25 September 2024.The two-month Lucknow schedule wrapped up in mid-November 2024.Some scenes were shot at the District Hospital in Unnao.The final leg of filming took place in Kanpur, concluding with the protagonist's wedding sequence on 14 November 2024. Rao also performed high-intensity action sequences, including weapon-based combat and Hand-to-hand combat.The film's songs are composed by Sachin-Jigar while lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The series begins with a woman named Madhu moving to Delhi from Gwalior. She has come to Delhi to be with her boyfriend and to get a fresh start after getting sexually assaulted at her college annual day by unknown masked men. She is helped by her friend Bella and her boyfriend Nakul. She moves to a run down working women's hostel where she is allotted the room 333 and is met with extreme hostility from the other girls in the same wing, who never leave the hostel to go out. They warn her to not move and leave while she can, she feels the presence of something supernatural and brushes it off while suspecting Nakul of being one of the men who assaulted her. BE HAPPY is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language dance drama film written and directed by Remo D'Souza.Produced by Lizelle Remo D'Souza under Remo Dsouza Entertainment Pvt Ltd,the film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Inayat Verma, Nora Fatehi, and Nassar. THANDEL [lit.Captain of the boat]is a 2025 Indian Telugu-language romantic action thriller film written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti.Produced by Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts, and starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi.The film is based on a real-life incident that occurred in 2018, depicting how Pakistani forces captured a fisherman from Srikakulam in international waters.Thandel was initially scheduled to be released in January 2025, on the occasion of Sankranthi, but was postponed. The film was released in theatres on 7 February 2025 to mixed reviews from critics, who praised the lead cast's performance, visuals and soundtrack, while the narration received criticism. The film has grossed over ₹100 crores worldwide and is the fourth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025.The filming of Thandel started in December 2023 with the lead cast Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The duo earlier acted in the 2021 romantic drama, Love Story.
